Danielle Del Sol is the new executive director for the Preservation Resource Center (PRC). Danielle succeeds long time preservation advocate, Patty Gay, who volunteered with the PRC at its inception in 1974 and became executive director in 1980. In this interview, Del Sol gives an overview of the PRC’s focus and describes some of the organization’s most important initiatives. One of those projects is the “Rebuilding Together New Orleans” program. As Danielle explains, for this community program “We go into neighborhoods all over the city to help low income, elderly home owners with repairs.” In March, the PRC will host a “First Saturday Art Walk” evening reception to showcase the historic New Orleans architectural images of local photographer and national Instagram celebrity, Jennifer Hance.
