Jax Frey
Jax Frey is a local artist who just recently completed her ten thousandth piece of art. As a native New Orleanian, Jax loves to paint local iconic images. Although her paintings are small, 4 x 4 inches, they are packed with lots of color and fun. Jax describes her art as whimsical. Her subjects range from beloved landmarks such as St. Louis Cathedral to those places and things like Dixie Beer and Pontchartrain Beach that "ain't here no mo'". Also making appearances are the Lucky Dog cart and many well-known New Orleans restaurants. Listen as Jax tells us about creating 60 original art pieces a week and about her upcoming art shows, including her participation in White Linen Night in August.
