Jenny Hamilton
Jenny Hamilton is Executive Director of the New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA). According to Jenny, NOBA was founded in 1969; today, the Association brings some of the world's best dance companies to New Orleans as part of its Main Stage series. NOBA also has enormous in-school and after-school programs. These programs are tuition free and now serve over 3,000 children throughout the New Orleans area. As part of these educational programs, NOBA offers dance classes at each New Orleans Recreation and Development Commission (NORDC) center in the city. In fact, this year--2013--is NOBA and NORDC's 20th anniversary as partners to promote quality dance in New Orleans. In this podcast, one of the instructors from Ballet Hispanico joins Jenny to explain some of the dance techniques she teaches.
