Katie Williams
Katie Williams is Director of Film New Orleans in the Mayor's office. Katie points out that New Orleans has long been an attractive place to film movies. After the city instituted tax credits to attract the film-making business, making movies in the Crescent City became big business. However, as Katie explains, tax credits are only one of the reasons film makers are shooting their movies in New Orleans. As this exciting business continues to grow and develop, part of Katie's job is to show production companies how New Orleans can look like any number of different cities. Katie shares a story where she recalls one of her biggest surprises regarding how New Orleans has the ability to be transformed into a completely different place through movie magic.
